Good and Bad Yoga for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Carpal tunnel exercises using yoga are quite effective at helping alleviate the symptoms. The physical and mental aspect of yoga helps relax the mind and strengthen the body – a combination that can prove to be a healing mix. There is a problem, however, because yoga can damage the body and exacerbate the symptoms if done improperly. And these problems are very real and very problematic if left unchecked.

There are good and bad ways to do yoga, so try to use good practices to make sure that your carpal tunnel exercises are helping to treat your symptoms rather than making them worse.

Bad Yoga Practices

Simply put, these practices will usually result in doing more harm than good. Keep them in mind if you do not want to worsen your condition.

Fresh symptoms – one of the biggest mistakes people make is to become overzealous with their yoga programs once they hear it helps with carpal tunnel syndrome. Yoga exercises are meant to strengthen the body, but can prove to be destructive if practiced while the body is still healing.

Avoid exercises which put a lot of weight on your wrists. This can definitely exacerbate the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Stretching is a helpful carpal tunnel exercise, but avoid straining your wrists, since this will prolong the healing process, cause additional pain and can even lead to more damage to your wrists.

Doing yoga on your own may sound like a good idea, but there are right and wrong ways to perform these exercises and doing them on your own can lead to poor practices. Done without professional advice, you can cause permanent damage to your body.

Good Yoga Practices

Good yoga practices can prevent further injury and help to treat the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Carpal tunnel exercises which come from yoga can lead your symptoms to subside; and it’s when the worst of the pain and stiffness have passed that your carpal tunnel exercises will do the most good. This is when your yoga exercises will begin to improve muscle tone and strength and relieve the strain on your nerves. Yoga carpal tunnel exercises will also increase circulation to speed up your recovery. Stretching is better than stressing your wrists, which only exacerbates your problem. Stretching your wrists eases the strain on them and helps you to recover more quickly.

Doing your carpal tunnel exercises with the guidance of a professional yoga instructor is the safest and most effective means of treating your carpal tunnel syndrome through exercise. He or she can show you the best carpal tunnel yoga exercises and help you avoid the mistakes which can worsen your injuries.

As long as you keep in mind the right and wrong ways to do yoga, you can improve your carpal tunnel syndrome, not make it worse by using the best carpal tunnel exercises.

Find Out How You Can Benefit Using Carpal Tunnel Exercises Using Yoga

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

While healing the damage that has brought on your carpal tunnel, clearing the mind is just as important. As exercising evolves, there have been several connections to doing yoga in order to prevent and heal carpal tunnel. In fact, it will effectively build and strengthen the body like never before.

Whenever you promote yoga in your daily regimen, there are four main components that you’re working towards. Promoting blood flow, alleviating the strain, reducing stress, and clearing your mind are where it all begins. These are all important factors you must work on in order to fight the pain, burning and suffering throughout each day.

Promoting Blood Flow with Yoga

Anytime you use carpal tunnel exercises like yoga, one of the main goals is to promote healthy blood flow. In doing so you are guaranteed to have the blood wash away the damaged nerves and muscles. It’s like a good spring cleaning, and when you mix in fresh oxygen, the healing process begins. While this is helpful throughout your entire body, yoga prides itself on helping any damaged areas. It will allow you to get through the day without constantly stopping to rest and help you be more productive.

Healing the Pain with Yoga

Another issue that most carpal tunnel sufferers have to deal with is working while the symptoms ravage their bodies. These conditions can make the problems worse; exacerbating the symptoms while increasing the total damage to the affected regions over time. Doing occasional, light yoga exercises can help solve this problem: by stretching and stimulating the affected areas, the built up pressure on the wrists and nerves will be alleviated. This effectively helps prevent and lessen the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome – less pain, faster healing and more responsive hand functions to name a few.

Use Yoga to Reduce Stress

These quick exercises serve not only to lessen the strain on the wrists, they also help to reduce stress that builds up over the course of the day. This stress may seem unconnected to the condition of a carpal tunnel sufferer, but not to the trained professional. The mind and body are intricately connected, and psychology has only recently begun to acknowledge this. By reducing the overall effect of stressors in the workplace by taking a few quick stretches, your mind will be better able to cope with the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome instead of exacerbating the pain and stiffness.

Yoga for clearing the mind

As yoga practitioners go beyond carpal tunnel exercises using yoga and regularly attend yoga sessions, the stress-reducing effects become more and more apparent. Yoga would then not only reduce stress levels that have been built up, but will help the mind become clearer and more focused, allowing the carpal tunnel syndrome sufferer to achieve a state of clarity and well-being. This state is an even more advanced state of mind does not simply reduce stress, but prepares the mind to deal with stress as it comes; effectively serving as an emotional and mental shield to environmental stressors.

When it comes down to it, bringing clarity to your day and alleviating as much pain as possible is your main goal. Once you start to experience this revelation, you will never want to go back to the way things used to be. Right now, you probably can’t remember what it’s like to have a normal day. So start using yoga to curbside those carpal tunnel blues.

The Real Secrets Of Telepathy

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Telepathy means ‘feelings over a distance’. Telepathy is the direct transmission of emotions or mental imagery from one person to another without using words, sight, hearing, touching, tasting, or smelling.

Telepathic communication is therefore communication on another level entirely. Indeed, many animal trainers and scientists researching the ways animal communicate have become convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt that animals are using telepathic communications in addition to other means of reaching each other, and sometimes their telepathic communications extend over vast distances.

Some anthropologists are also fully convinced that there are some primitive tribes who today can still use the power of telepathy to communicate with one another.

So, telepathy is not some strange, esoteric subject–at least, it should not be. Telepathy should be seen as just as much of a birthright and inherent, learnable ability as language; and just as we recognize someone who can’t speak correctly or has difficulty learning how to read or talk as having a problem, so we should recognize those who can’t develop their telepathic powers as having a similar defectiveness in their learning!

One of the abilities it is thought we had as humans long ago was telepathy, but that has evolved out of our consciousness. It is felt that this sixth sense was as normal as the other senses.

Telepathy is in fact linked with the ‘sixth sense’, sometimes referred to also as the ‘third eye’. These two things are not exactly the same thing, but telepathic powers come from that same second nature of human beings and animals.

Intuition is a form of telepathy. You know that feeling that someone is watching your or the hair on your arms starts to tingle? That is telepathy in its purest form. Most of the time when you have these feelings, you are correct in your assessment. How many times have your children woken you up by just looking at you while you sleep, intuitively, even in your sleeping state you sense that someone is there and wake up.

It is difficult to pinpoint why most of humanity would have lost touch with their telepathic powers and stopped believing in them. One problem with learning telepathy today definitely has to do with ascendant religions. Religions today, especially Christianity and Islam, tend to distrust telepathy as being some kind of Satanic tool or proof of demon possession.

Because of the nature of these older religions and the stigma of telepathy, it is hard for some to have any thoughts of telepathy even truly existing. The only faith any more is in specific religious leaders or prophets instead of putting faith in themselves as people.

Religion first brought about the change in thoughts of telepaths as it was fearful for the early organized religious leaders. By eradicating any trace of this element of human nature, they force the trust onto religious icons instead. Of course this is not true with everyone, or we would not even know that telepathy is a genuine talent.

With our new scientific age, scholars scoff at the thought of telepathy. It can not be explained in a way that makes sense so it does not exist. Because we do not use our other five senses to access telepathy, the theory is that it can not be a true sense as we know it. The fact there is a plethora of data to prove that telepathy does exist does not matter to those who choose to close their eyes to the facts.

It is hard to explain why there is no scientific belief in telepathy. Other senses can be felt by every human being, yet telepathy is only well known to just a small portion of the world. But even with the proofs in place, some will just refuse to believe or even contemplate the existence of telepathy. Some other things that require a trust in a sense to believe in are widely accepted, such as animal instincts.

Could it be jealousy on the part of those scientists who cannot exercise their own telepathic abilities so don’t want anyone to have them? And could it at other times be labeling a phenomenon as being the more familiar ‘instinctive-ness response’ when really it was telepathic in nature?

It is hard to say when we humans became bereft of our natural telepathy. Perhaps the gods decided that we no longer needed it.

Learn Telepathy – A Natural Ability!

Friday, June 26th, 2009

We human beings can all learn telepathy. Telepathy translates into sensing/transmitting feelings at a distance, and/or doing so without using the five physical senses and without using words. In other words, this is mind-to-mind communication that can often be exchanged instantly even over vast distances.

If you think you can’t learn telepathy, it’s time to reassess things. You may already have had a telepathic experience of some kind, but there’s a good chance you didn’t know that was what was happening. You may not have noticed it at all! One common type is thinking about someone you haven’t thought about or talked to for a long time, then getting a phone call or email from them shortly afterward.

What was going on there is that one or both of you telepathically contacted the other. During that contact, emotions were transmitted, ranging from wonder to affection, and they were received by the other person.

This telepathic contact encouraged them to get in touch with you. Perhaps you were the first person to think of them, and the other person received your emotions and felt like contacting you. Or maybe they contacted you, felt your return thoughts of them without your being aware of it, and that was the reason they chose to make contact another way. They may have even been planning to get in touch, and you perceived that intent telepathically before the contact ever happened.

Most people have reasons that they believe they can’t learn telepathy. Some people have religious beliefs that tell them telepathy is a form of sorcery, or related to the devil. Because of this, these people will suppress any telepathic experiences they have, and will never try to expand their abilities. Many people have been told that telepathy is just superstition, due to the lack of scientific evidence available.

One real barrier that people find when learning telepathy is believing a particular myth. This idea is that regular, spoken language is less important or useful than telepathy, that’s it’s inferior. Some people think that as our telepathic abilities decayed over time, we were forced to learn speech. This isn’t any more true than the belief that telepathy is a product of Satan. Words and telepathy can go together just like the words to a song go with the music.

In this analogy, the lyrics to a song are spoken language, and the music is telepathic contact. Each is an enhancement of the other. After all, telepathic feelings are rarely well defined – words sharpen and clarify them. This is why we use words in the first place. However, dependence on language can cause people not to communicate in a telepathic fashion, leading to fewer and fewer people using this method of communication.

So, are you feeling interested in telepathic communication? You can open the doors of perception and closer than ever with others. Learning telepathy is much easier than it seems if you don’t know how. Like everything else, you need to practice it to succeed.

The first thing you’ll want to do is find an appropriate partner. Try to find someone you’ve been friends with for a long time and who’s also open minded about the possibility of telepathic contact. Look for a person who also really wants to learn how to contact other people’s minds. Positive reinforcement is vital when you’re first starting out.

Next, you and your partner must separate from each other at least enough to where you can’t physically see each other. You also need to both relax as much as you possibly can. As with most things, being all tensed up will interfere and negatively impact your performance. Clear your minds of any stresses, worries about things, etc. Have a method of getting in touch with each other in the usual way available, such as a telephone.

Now, one at a time (you’ll need to previously agree on who will go first), visualize the other person as clearly in your mind as you can. Then, visualize some kind of connection between you – a physical connection, something like a golden light that surrounds you both, or a magical thread of pure energy that connects you.

Now you’ll need to send your thoughts about a particular subject over that thread, as though they were part of a phone call or an Internet transmission. Start with something simple and clear, like a photograph you can see, or something that’s been on your mind. It should be something the other person can’t easily guess without contact.

When you feel that the telepathic transmission has been completed, the next step is contacting your partner to ask them if they saw anything, and what it was if they did. Compare notes, then trade places and have the other person send.

When you’re starting out, if you don’t feel like you’re able to make a transmission after fifteen minutes or so, take a break. Keep early attempts simple and brief so you’re not tired or frustrated. Negativity doesn’t help.

If you want to learn telepathy, the most important thing is to keep your mind positive about it, and don’t give up until you start to get results. You’ll be entering into a new and wondrous universe!
