The process they use is called hemispheric synchronization that helps both sides of the brain get in concert with each other. The cds play music or relaxing white noise, while in the background you hear calming tones or hums that are heard by the brain. Those hums or tones then create a third tone that naturally guides you to a meditative state.

Improve Your Health: Practice Yoga!

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Many people choose to practice yoga rather than starting a lot of expensive exercise programs. As far as exercise goes, yoga is relatively simple to prepare for and do. You don’t need a lot of yoga products, and only a minimal space is required to do the different poses. You can do the exercises inside or out, and with an instructor or by yourself with just books and videos for training information. The benefits of practicing yoga go well beyond simple health improvements that come with most exercises.

It is not surprising that most people who practice yoga originally thought the exercises were only good for stretching and developing flexibility. But what research has shown is that the body’s muscles get a substantial workout as they must hold the different yoga positions for a certain period of time. While the results that are produced may not come as quickly as building muscle through weight training might, your body is definitely getting a workout and you will notice a difference.

Another benefit that those who do yoga find is the detoxification it provides. Your muscles and joints get a good stretch with each yoga posture and this helps to increase blood flow to those hard-to-reach areas of the body. The blood acts as a cleanser agent and flushes out the toxins that may have built up in these tight spots. This helps to delay negative effects like aging and produces positive effects like an increase in energy.

Practicing yoga is in some ways like providing your body with a massage; specifically, the inner organs of your body. Your internal glands and organs get a chance to be stimulated, something that some of them rarely experience outside of yoga exercises. Yoga has shown that this massage of internal organs is a good way to not only prevent diseases, but to provide earlier warning signs when something is wrong. Our lifestyle in modern society has resulted in people doing a lot less moving around than what they used to, and this is causing a greater number of health problems.

The number of people who practice yoga is growing these days, as more people look for ways to stay in shape in a society with so many overweight individuals. Yoga information shows that this form of exercise is a great way to lose weight, but more importantly it provides a method of increasing your level of health far more than traditional exercises can. In addition to the stress relief it provides, yoga is a strong contender for one of the most useful forms of exercise and activity.

Yoga helps you focus your mind and improve your body, and choosing the right routine can enhance your workout considerably. Simple yoga techniques are best for beginners, yet even a simple yoga exercise has numerous benefits for your overall health and well being.

Can Anyone Try Lucid Dreaming?

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Lucid Dreaming or Conscious Dreaming is the art of being aware that one is actually dreaming. In simple words, while in dream, you are aware that all the events are not happening in fact, or ‘It’s Just A Dream!’ kind of situation. There is certain amount of control you can exercise while lucid dreaming, which is not the case in normal dreams.

The power of having complete control over the direction of your dreams is something straight out of metaphysical existence. Suddenly, all the limitations you ever felt in life just cease to exist.

Is lucid dreaming as straightforward as all that? Is lucid dreaming something which can be experienced by anyone?

In fact, lucid dreaming is not too difficult a task. If you are determined to learn this powerful medium of expressing your inner desires, there are tried and tested ways of achieving this.

Foremost, you must be absolutely clear about your objective in trying to master the art of lucid dreaming. Do you just want to have your own private playground in the form of lucid dreams, or there is some specific reason for developing this skill? Whatever may be the reason, it should be crystal clear in your mind.

Then starts the actual process of learning this art. Firstly, you need to learn a process, called Dream Recall, i.e., recalling a dream you had the previous night. Unless you remember a dream, you can’t achieve the stage of lucid dreaming.

This isn’t going to happen overnight (if you’ll forgive the pun). Many find it helpful to keep a dream recall register, which is a sort of dream diary. Here you’ll write down each detail of your dreams which you can remember. Do this each day. You’ll find it easier the more you practice. Also, start trying to become aware of your dreaming, to get your mind trained to be alert in your dreams.

For a lot of people, hypnosis helps them to prepare their mind for lucid dreaming much more quickly. Sometimes, as few as one or two sessions may be needed to get you being able to recall all of your dreams every day. Once you can do this, you are ready to begin trying lucid dreaming.

When you are lucid dreaming, you may suddenly awake. Don’t worry! Recall the details of your dream and try to go back to sleep and continue the dream in the way that you want. When you awake, you may just be surprised! If successful, your dream will have been under your control and your mind will have a new found power.

Another good way of inducing lucid dreams is to wake a few hours earlier than usual, then go back to sleep. The dreams you will have in these few hours are the easiest to make into lucid dreams. You may even find yourself unsure whether you have been sleeping or just thinking to yourself as you lay in bed. Just set your alarm for a few hours early, wake and reset the alarm and then go back to sleep and you will be more likely to have lucid dreams.

In this regard, it’s extremely useful to keep track of your sleeping patterns so as to discover the best time to have lucid dreams.

Lucid dreaming can help people with insomnia and other sleep disorders. If you have trouble sleeping, just tell yourself “Sleeping equals lucid dreaming” and your subconscious mind will help you become free of the thoughts keeping you awake.

It once was the case that it could take years to learn lucid dreaming; the only way to prepare the mind was meditation, which took a long time to master. A lot of people lack the discipline and would simply give up. New technologies, especially audio technology have made it possible for anyone to experience lucid dreaming.

Binaural audio is one of the most reliable methods of getting people to have lucid dreams.

Binaural audio involves listening to two slightly different frequencies in each ear. This synchronizes brain waves to the state where lucid dreaming is most likely to occur and at the same time causes deep relaxation.

Before this technology was available the only sure way to be able to lucid dream to order was by the way of meditation techniques which often took years to learn and the perseverance and determination required was too much of a struggle for most people.

By listening to binaural sound waves, particular when combined with hypnosis to prepare the subconscious mind, it is possible for you to experience lucid dreaming very soon after your first attempt.

Creating Abundance - Can It Really Be Done?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Creating abundance; is it really that easy? Absolutely; there are a lot of ways you can create abundance in your life, and everyone deserves to be happy, including you. However, you might not know just how to get that happiness you so richly deserve.

Think of yourself for a minute; do you think of yourself in positive ways, or do you think of yourself in negative ways? Creating abundance requires that you must absolutely know that you deserve the things you want.

What is the first step to a life of abundance? Right now, take a few minutes to focus on a few things you’d like to have. Why do you need those things, and how can you get them? Make this a habit, and do it every day. After a few weeks, you should begin to notice that you do indeed think you deserve these things, and you’ll also know why you want or need them. You’ll know you deserve them, because this feeling of being deserving has been a central focus for you for the last several weeks.

Creating abundance requires that you are goal oriented and ambitious. You should go after what you want, certainly, and you should feel inspired to do so.

If you know you deserve something you want, it’ll come to you, in one way or another. It may not happen right away, but because you have a passion for what you deserve, you will get it, even if you’re not quite sure how.

Creating abundance relies a lot on a person’s thoughts and actions. All dreams and desires begin with a simple thought. It is up to you to transform your desires into actions. This process of obtaining abundance should not feel like work.

A lot of the reason why people never achieve their goals in life as well as never have the things they want is because they believe that there is no way of getting them. They lack faith in themselves and therefore lack the ability to make big things happen.

Sit down and picture how abundant you want your life to be. Do not only think about the material things that you want, but also focus on the mental and emotional peace that you desire. Concentrate on becoming a more ambitious and determined individual so that you can keep pushing onward and upward until you reach the top. Know that there are no limitations in your life except for the one’s you have set for yourself. Creating abundance is that simple.

You can prevent achieving your goals and building the life you want by listening to all of the negative things you hear. If you have negative people in your life, simply look over them or enlighten them with the concept of allowing happiness to flow freely.

Your mind the catalyst that will ultimately determine your actions. So if you’re convinced you’re never going to be happy, own that beautiful home, or have that dream car, you’ll continue to do things that thwart creating abundance.

However, if you think you deserve these things and you really want them, AND you know you can get them in one way or another, even if you’re not sure just how yet, you’ll find a way — and best of all, it won’t be hard.

How To Get Awesome Yoga Business SEO

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

What is the deal with so many yoga studios? Just the other day I saw a new yoga studio in a town nearby.

Studios are accommodating all yoga styles in even the remotest locations. Not only is competition growing geographically, it’s growing on the Internet search engines.

Do you know what that means for yoga studio owners? More competition. Yes, there must be more people doing yoga, but there are also more providers. Whether you’re a new studio or have been around awhile, you need to do some good marketing.

Marketing these days is more than getting listed in the over-priced Yellow Pages. You need some savvy online marketing.

The most-used search engine is Google; this is where most prospective yoga customers will start looking for a studio to attend. This means getting on page one of Google for any “yoga” related search term is critical.

Not only do you want to rank well for “yoga-related” search terms, but you need to balance it with your geographic search terms. Your business is geographically-based and so you must anticipate geographically-based searches.

Be methodical about your keyword research. For yoga studios you must include the yoga styles you teach, meditation if offered, and your geographical locations.

Don’t just list meta keywords; they are now next to useless. You must insert your keywords in the titles, headings, and written body of your site. You can use 1 word keywords, or long-tail keywords with 5 to7 words. Research, research, research.

Once you have your keywords in your site, it’s time for some off-site work. The Internet is a web of links - that’s how you must think. That means you need links to your site. The more the merrier. However, quality of a link is important as well.

Where to get links to your site? First of all, write great content. Write a blog and attract links. Other tricks require you to use SEO products that help you build awesome links to your website which will in short order get you to page one of Google.

If you want to find out more about building high-quality links for your yoga business SEO, then visit Yoga Baron, a yoga blog all about yoga business marketing.

How To Get Started With Yoga

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

For the past several years I’ve practiced yoga regularly. My mind has become crystal clear, my body is tone, I’m flexible, and feel better than ever. For me it was not easy to get started, so I’d like to share some tips to help you get over the initial hump.

If you’ve begun practicing yoga or have only done it a few times, but cant find the motivation to keep going, these helpful tips might bring you that feel-good feeling that motivates you to keep coming back for more. Yoga is such a great practice and I guarantee that if you keep with it and do it a minimum of once a week, within a month you’ll feel more energetic, happier, and your mind will be crystal clear. Once you get over the initial hurdles, you’ll start to feel the true benefits of a limber and flexible body and the feeling of a clear mind.

Straps help your to get started A Yoga Strap really helps you stretch further by providing extra reach where a beginner would normally not have any. Get a strap and it will quickly help you stretch to those toes! Before long you wont need it anymore.

Focus on your breath Being conscious about your breathing during your yoga practice is critical to a good practice. By focusing on your breath, your mind stays focused instead of wondering off to other things. Use your deep breath to help you stretch deeper into your poses. Breathing in should pull you back, as you breath out, slowly bend or twist deeper into your pose.

Clear your mind During the end of your stretches, spend lots of time relaxing your body and free your mind. Doing this will give you the biggest rewards. Focus on thinking about nothing and just observe the benefits that you’re feeling from the stretches you just did. I guarantee you that doing this for at least 15 minutes will leave you feeling better than ever.

Use a thick yoga mat Thick yoga mats provide the cushion you need to get started…it’s also helpful to get a skidless yoga mat as well so that you’re not slipping off the mat.

I hope this finds you well and inspires you to get going with a regular yoga routine. Your mind and your body will thank you!

If you need help picking out some yoga accessories to get started, I would suggest a thick yoga mat and yoga mat bag.

Yoga Lessons Help You Release Your Stress

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

There are many reasons for wanting to take yoga lessons. Relief from stress is a very common reason. They can also help improve your general health as well as help you to rehabilitate from injury, especially to the back. There are many different types of yoga classes from which to choose.

Hatha yoga is one of the oldest style of yogas and most of the others are based on it. This style of yoga is very gentle. It focuses on holding positions and incorporates the use of proper breathing. This is one of the best styles for both relaxation and rehabilitation. There are asanas or poses that can help your internal organs as well and boost your immunity. Sivananda yoga is a popular derivative of Hatha yoga.

A style that is done in a really hot room, Bikram yoga, is very popular. The room can be from 85 degrees Fahrenheit up to 100. The heat penetrates the muscles so they can stretch more easily. It is also an effective style for cleansing. Because of the heat, you can get dehydrated easily, so be sure to drink plenty of water if you do this type of yoga.

If you are the type of person that cannot slow down, you might want to opt for starting out with Power yoga. This style, which is a newer type of Yoga, comes from Ashtanga yoga. It will challenge you more physically than the other styles. It is faster paced so it feels like a harder workout.

Whatever form of yoga you choose to try, it is good to get training from a professional, at least in the beginning. Although it is a relatively gentle exercise, you can hurt yourself by performing the poses incorrectly. It is also very important to not try to compete with other people in the class. Just do as much as you can do for that day. A good instructor should guide and encourage you but not push you beyond your ability.

It is very beneficial to take a yoga class either first thing in the morning or last thing at night. In the morning, it makes you relaxed and sets the tone for the entire day. In the evening, it can calm you down after a day of work and help you to sleep better.

The best scenario is to do yoga both in the morning and the evening. The muscles benefit from this as well as stretching in the morning helps warm the muscles up after a night of inactivity. At night, they get their last stretch before that inactivity begins again. By stretching at both times, you keep your muscles looser and more flexible and help prevent injury.

Whichever type of yoga you choose, you will get benefit. The key is to find one that you like and begin taking classes. In addition to the style, a teacher that appeals to you will also help your motivation to return to the class so that a regular practice is established.

The idea of taking yoga lessons or yoga class is rather appealing to numerous individuals for numerous reasons. Being beneficial for stress relief is one of the most common reasons.

Remote Viewing - How Even A Complete Novice Can Get Started

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Have you heard of remote viewing? How do you know whether or not you can do it — and how do you know whether or not you’re doing it properly if you think you are? With remote viewing, you can see places, objects or people with your mind’s eye instead of through your usual five senses.

What is remote viewing? It’s not synonymous with astral travel. When you experience astral travel, if your ‘energy’ body can leave your physical body and travel incorporeally so that you can see something ‘up close and personal.’ With remote viewing, how this is done is that you ’see’ entirely with your mind, without ever leaving your physical location in any way.

Can you develop the power yourself and actually learn remote viewing? Absolutely; every person on the planet can do so. Just how successful you are at it depends on how well do you can relax and go into a trance like state, something very similar to what you feel when you are hypnotized.

Experts have long said that we only use about 10% of our mental capacity, with the other 90% untouched because we simply haven’t tapped into it and haven’t trained it. As one example, if you’ve spoken several foreign languages from childhood, those neural pathways are firmly established and you think it’s absolutely normal to speak those languages. The same is true of other more ‘ordinary’ skills, such as reading and writing. You’re taught these skills when you’re young, and they become simply part of your mind’s abilities throughout your life.

Now, think for a minute. Remote viewing: how would it be if you’d been taught to do this from earliest childhood, just as you’ve learned how to speak, read or write? It would be easy, wouldn’t it? And you can still learn how to do it as an adult; you simply have to access your mind’s ability to do so.

Before you start learning remote viewing, how well are you able to relax? Meditation is a good precursor to teaching your mind to reach the correct state of relaxation needed in order to access your subconscious mind. Self-hypnosis is also an excellent way to reach the same, if not deeper, trance state.

However, just because your body is relaxed doesn’t mean your mind should be. It’s very, very easy when you’re first learning how to do this to fall asleep when you simply want your body to relax, so make sure your mind is alert even as your body is relaxed.

With remote viewing, how will you test results? It’s a good idea to plan this ahead of time.

One of the best ways to choose views that you can ‘test’ is to choose places you already know. For example, if you know a friend’s home well and know what it usually looks like, try to look at it in your mind’s eye through remote viewing. Is anything out of place? For example, are there books or papers scattered about that aren’t usually there, in the living room? Are dishes or plates set out on the counter in the kitchen?

These small things might not seem like much, but they can give you a clear indication of whether you’re seeing real places and events. Once you’ve awoken from your relaxed trance, call your friend and verify the objects you’ve seen.

When you’ve practiced remote viewing, how to reach the correct state of relaxation required becomes easier each time. You’ll soon find you’re able to reach this state easily and your technique will suddenly become much more fluid.

Learn About Your Own Powers With A Remote Viewing Test

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Remote viewing is the ability to see people, places and things which are beyond your ability to perceive with the five physical senses. You might not be able to get to a place where you want to find out what is going on in person, but if you develop this psychic ability and learn remote viewing techniques, you will be able to see things as if you were there.

Remote viewing is not the same thing as an out of body experience, where the ethereal body leaves the psychical body and travels around in the astral plane of existence. Instead, remote viewing is about using your mind to view places or people from a distance.

All people have the capacity to learn remote viewing; studies have been conducted on people who are not considered to possess psychic powers otherwise which find that they can use this ability. A remote viewing test can reveal that these people can indeed see things using the power of their minds after some practice in putting themselves into a state of mind conducive to tapping into the subconscious.

In order to know whether you’re successful with your remote viewing, test your results by viewing something you know well, or where you can call a friend to verify your findings.

Before you begin a remote viewing test, you need to place yourself into a trancelike state where you can communicate with your subconscious easily. You need to be able to relax completely in order to reach this state.

After completely relaxing your body and making your mind relaxed yet still alert, try looking at yourself as if you were standing a few feet away, much as you would if you were looking in a mirror. When this remote viewing test works, you will know it at once.

This is because you’re used to seeing yourself through a mirror, which is a reversed image of yourself. It’s not the true aspect of you that people see every day so you’ll be able to gain a clearer perspective of yourself.

You can also give this remote viewing test a try - view a location that you know very well, such as your office at work or your parent’s kitchen. Look for anything which is not as it should be; dishes left unwashed on the kitchen table, for example.

Call the person whose home you were viewing and ask if those things really are there. This remote viewing test is an easy one to verify, so you’ll know if you’re achieving true remote views or not.

The majority of those who take a remote viewing test can get themselves into the right state of mind for remote viewing to occur with just a little bit of experience. A lot of people simply fall asleep the first few times they try to prepare themselves for this experience, but it does gradually become easier.

The author Jeffrey Bengo writes for the http://www.remote-viewing-info.com website. Discover for yourself how easy it is to learn the remote viewing test secrets. Can You Benefit From Past Life Regression?

Monday, January 25th, 2010

There is no denying the fact that the belief in past life, or reincarnation, is prevalent across the board in almost every religion, from Christianity to Hinduism to Buddhism to Kabalah. And the interest of humans in knowing as much as possible about their past lives is also quite widespread. But how many of us are interested in knowing about our past lives in order to make a positive change in our present lives?

Unfortunately, most of us are only interested in the happenings of our prior lifetimes due to curiosity. The will to change our present lives for good is what makes Past Life Regression (PLR) such a beneficial therapy.

Even scientists agree that using Past Life Regression can be used effectively to make changes for the best in anyone’s life. You can learn from the trauma you suffered in your past life and the mistakes you made as well.

The process involves usually a hypnosis session with a Past Life Regression expert, or it can also be done via self hypnosis. There are other tools that can help.

One of these is to try regular affirmations sessions, to prepare the subconscious mind to accept that it is okay to remember your past lives.

Before embarking on a Past Life Regression session, there are several things that you need to understand and accept.

We all hold the memory of our past lives somewhere deep inside our subconscious minds. It is indeed a part of our everyday life. The memories are there, and with a little encouragement, you can remember these events from the past.

You cannot just know about your past life and expect your life to improve. You have to take the necessary steps to put this information to use before it will benefit you.

You will need to learn from the mistakes you made in your previous life and refrain from making them again. This is how you will use the knowledge of your past life to live a better life in the present.

Some people however, for various reasons find it impossible to believe in reincarnation. However Past Life Regression can be of immense help in either changing your life for good or helping in avoidance of commission of big mistakes in present life even if you think that all the events you remember are merely the results of a fertile imagination.

Whatever you believe, the experts still advise you to go through Past Life Regression because of two reasons:

a) If you benefit from the lessons of such events by applying them to the present life, then these were indeed, the past life experiences.

b) If you think you have imagined everything it can still be of help to you as it can clear your head of things that are stopping you from being successful.

What are all the other benefits of using past life Regression?

1) It helps our present life by making us deal with the traumatic events of the past.

2) It helps in bringing about clarity of thought and decision making in our personality.

3) If you know what you have done in the past to hurt someone and suffered the consequences you will change this behavior. Remembering the past life where you have done this will make you take a second look at your present behavior.

4) You have potential that you do not realize you have. Exploring your past live will make you see a talent or skill that may be buried deep in your subconscious. Discovering this could change your outlook on life forever.

5) You will have a better understanding of yourself and realize why you do the things you do. You will know why you have a certain personality or characteristic that was a mystery to you before.

Try it and see what it can do for you, you have nothing to lose. It just may be the key you need to change your life in a way that you have always dreamed of.
