You learned from that point on to believe in what your parents taught you. What your parents taught you ultimately ended up with telling you how to socialize, at least in childhood. And when you did that you went to school and learned that life is hard and ice cold. You were taught, in so many words, that manifesting abundance is nonsense.

You learned that perhaps you could reach your dreams with too much over work or you needed rare genes or maybe you would just get lucky. You found that abundance might not even be possible. You found that you might die of starvation and not have a comfortable home, if you were not lucky or you were ignorant. You must know that you deserve to manifest abundance. You have to know deep down in your soul that you deserve abundance. You have to understand that there are certain things that can make this become a reality for you.

* Know what you want and then allow your fantasies to flow as you focus intensely on the fantasies that come to you.

*Take all of the action you are inspired to take to bring about your fantasy. If you feel that you must gain more technical knowledge, for instance, get on the Internet and read, watch videos, or order books that will give you the knowledge. If you feel inspired to go to a certain place or a certain website, do so; etc.

* You need to understand that the work you do towards manifesting abundance will be so inspired that it will work for you. For instance, consider the professional basketball player who works by playing his favorite sport and getting paid outrageous amounts of money just to do it.

* You should let things manifest as they will in your life. Do not try to force them. Keep in mind that that which you desire is on its way to you right now. Have the patience that comes along with knowing this.

If you practice yoga, you know that the mat you use is very important. Choosing the mat for you is very important and will go a long way toward what kind of session you have. For most you, the yoga mats is the most important piece of yoga equipment. And there are lots of varieties to consider.

A long time ago, grassy mats, animal hides, even the ground were all common surfaces on which to practice yoga. Then, more than sixty years ago, the sticky mat was born. This sticky mat gave very good traction and cushioning. In the past ten to twenty years, though, mats have morphed into the many styles that you can find today. Varying thicknesses, materials, and longevity are hallmarks of today’s mats. However, the aim is the same, regardless of the mat: provide a surface that’s comfortable and stable.

For yoga newbies, sticky mats are the most common. They are available everywhere and they are inexpensive. You can get any thickness you like and they are relatively stable for trying those beginner-type of poses. Drawbacks do exist, though. When there is a lot of perspiration, these mats become slippery and unstable due to lack of good absorption ability. They are also not environmentally or biologically friendly because they are made of toxic polymers, among other things.

Another common type of mat is one naturally made of latex. These also come in a variety of thicknesses. And they provide a fair amount of traction for any yoga practice. Natural rubber mats are more environmentally friendly, for the material is without toxins. However, there is one drawback to these rubber mats: they smell like rubber. As such, many people, for this reason, do not purchase them. Aside from the odor, these mats tend to be more expensive, too.

As some people have allergic reactions to rubber, other mats must be considered. Another environmentally-responsible option is one made of a relatively new synthetically-created rubber. These kinds of mats don’t have a rubber smell. And they’re cheaper than natural rubber, even as they have similar durability and comfort.

There are also mats made from natural hemp or natural cotton. These kinds of mats, including the Ashtanga rug, are made of woven fibers. These are excellent absorbers of perspiration and foot traction is excellent. However, traction on the floor is not. Therefore, many veteran yoga practitioners place sticky mats on the floor beneath these rugs. Alternatively, they buy fiber mats that have a rubber layer beneath.

Another natural fiber mat is one made of jute fibers. These are woven together with a natural resin that results in a non-skid yet comfortable mat. They are thin and this renders less its cushioning and comfort. As well, the jute fibers are not so durable, as they usually wear out more quickly than other types of mats. And, because of this, it is suggested that they be hand-washed, even though they can be washed by machine.

Last are what are called travel mats. These are lightweight and thin. They are easily packable. They are easily carried. But, inexpensive as they are, they provide almost no cushioning.

Most of us know we want, yet, attracting abundance is anything but a simple matter for most of us. We want the great houses, perfect jobs, fast cars, and perfect relationships, but why is it that so many of us try and fail to do this? It’s not that we don’t have the skills or abilities that those who seem to get these things effortlessly do. It’s just that we don’t know what’s behind attracting abundance, and how to make it happen for us.

What does it mean when we say ‘attracting abundance’? It means that you attract what you want and need into your life for your subconscious and conscious mind. In short, you let the universe know that you are worth your dreams, and you’re worth having them come true. Once we know this for ourselves and once we realize the power of the universe, this abundance can’t help but come to us. We will truly be blessed beyond measure.

Thoughts have power. Our thoughts reflect our self-esteem, needs, and desires; directly influencing what comes into our lives. If your thoughts are filled with self-loathing and lack of belief in your own abilities, attracting abundance will be practically impossible. However, if you turn to positive thinking to teach yourself how to be confident and believe you deserve to get what you want, then you can have a life overflowing in abundance.

Manifesting abundance is not a special ability; everybody has the ability to do this, and you can do it if you choose to take control of your own thoughts and ask the universe for guidance. Self-reflection and meditation are paths to learning just what those desires are, and if you can do that, you can discover what you really want.

If you want to start attracting abundance, one of the ways you can do this is to use a journal or note cards, for example, to record daily thoughts so that you can go back and peruse them. Go back and take a look at what you’ve written; if anything is written down in a negative fashion, change it to the positive. Instead of saying, ‘I hate my job,’ change it to something positive so that you can attract what you want, not what you don’t want. What you really want to do is to focus on getting a job you love and that pays well, right?

So for example, write something to the effect of, ‘I deserve a job that I love and that pays me well.’ Make it as detailed as you want, so that you write exactly what you want. For example, you can write down the specific field, the exact salary you want, and the exact position you want. Take a look at these note cards on a regular basis and see yourself in that position, mentally, getting exactly what you want.

You can also make a box for your goals, and put your note cards, pictures, and anything else that’s going to support this positive thinking into it. If you want a house, put a picture of the house you want into the box. If you want a car, put a picture of the car you want into the box.

By the way, fantasy is very important when it comes to attracting abundance. In addition, sleeping and dreaming lets our imagination soar and release its creativity. When relaxed, and more open, and we can fantasize to our heart’s content without incurring negative thoughts. To use this, you can focus on your thoughts while you’re falling asleep, and ask for what you want from the universe.

Meditate in front of a picture that represents the goal you want to achieve, or your box of goals. Look in the mirror every day and say something nice about what you see to increase your confidence.

The universe tends to act quickly. Don’t be surprised that when you fully believe in the power of attracting abundance previous stumbling blocks and obstacles quickly disappear.

Affirmations are an excellent way to begin the re-programming process. Take a moment to think about your current situation. What thought processes led you to make the choices you did? Did you accidentally sign the papers for so much debt? Did you get into your relationship by accident? Did you accept your current job by accident? Each of these choices was a result of your mind being programmed to believe that was what you needed at that time in your life.

You will begin to see that everything in your life is mind over matter once you take a step back and think about your previous choices and decisions. Take for example a person who has been through a violent or abusive relationship. If those people have been told repeatedly they are fat or stupid or useless, eventually they’ll believe it. Their self-esteem will come crashing down.

If you want a more successful job then spend time to repeat affirmations to yourself daily. Tell yourself you deserve a higher paying, happier job. If you want a happier relationship, tell yourself often that you deserve a happier relationship. No matter what you want your life to look like, you can change the outcomes by programming your sub-conscious mind to look for the results you want.

The mind can do amazing things. You have most likely heard in various places that humans only use ten percent of their brain power – and guess what? That is a documented fact! Here we are with the remaining 90%, just allowing it to go to waste as time passes us by, when we could all be using it to empower our lives and ourselves!

Working With Your Unconscious Mind

Did you know that you probably only use about 10% of your brain’s capacity? That’s true, with 90% of your potential as yet untapped. Imagine for a moment what it would be like if you could access even a small portion of that untapped mind power potential.

What is meant by ‘power of mind’? There are people who can do this, of course, and scientists have known for quite some time that there are people around who can access their unconscious minds and manifest various abilities, perceptions and strengths. This includes abilities that fall into the range of extrasensory or psychic abilities.

However, these people aren’t different or more special than you or I. Instead, we all have the ability to access our unconscious minds such that we can tap into our unique gifts and powers.

Unfortunately, the majority of people possess these skills in a latent form. They remain locked in the unused ninety percent, but they are present behind those barriers.

How do you unlock your full potential, then? You need to free those latent skills and abilities, and you need to tap into that unused 90% of your unconscious. In fact, you may just find you can manifest what you desire most in life, and you could also unleash powers like remote viewing, telepathy, precognition, telekinesis, levitation and other ‘super sensory’ skills most people don’t tap into.

How do you access your unconscious mind so that you can begin to explore and unleash these and other abilities?

Affirmations: Your unconscious mind is the power-house of your entire life. Everything you do, every choice you make, it all comes from a thought that originated in your unconscious mind. It’s processed and then moved forward to your conscious mind, or the waking portion of your thought patterns, where you act on the information given.

Affirmations work because you can repeat positive messages or phrases to yourself several times throughout the day; do this often enough, and your unconscious mind eventually picks those things up, brings them to your conscious mind, and puts them into reality. Through this, you can literally change conscious thought processes from negative to positive, and literally change your life. Your desires, in other words, can truly be manifested in this way.

Think carefully about some of the things you say to yourself in your mind right now. The next time you think “I can’t afford it” or “I can’t lose weight” or “I don’t deserve happiness”, change that to a positive affirmation so your unconscious mind will begin to make it happen for you.

Visualization: Many people mistake visualization for simple day dreaming. There is a significant difference between the two and the biggest difference has to do with what you tell your unconscious mind you really want as opposed to what you already know is just a daydream.

Practice picturing yourself with the things you want in your life. You could change your entire life, your relationships, your level of abundance simply by visualizing yourself already enjoying the things you want to manifest. Once again your unconscious mind will take up the image and strive to create steps to make them happen for you.

Hypnosis, too, is a good way to access your unconscious mind and may be the easiest. Hypnosis has given very positive results to people who wanted to lose weight, increase self-esteem, attract success, or quit smoking, as just a few examples.
